Reflections on 'Schumacher'

Steve Leybourne - 24th April 2007I don't think anyone would be surprised if I said that last week was one of the most moving and involving experiences of the last few years.
I know that you are all aware to some extent of the difficulties that Debs and I have been through with her health, and I hoped that my few days at 'Schumacher' would provide an opportunity to reflect on the journey we have taken. I must however say that I had no idea how profoundly I would be affected. I was and am deeply grateful for the support I received from Cynthia, from Kip, and from the other participants on the 'Creative Partnerships' course.
I am glad that some of you were able to meet Debs before you left, and I know she was very happy to meet you. I think that some of the 'phone conversations we had whilst I was at Schumacher indicated that I was going through some sort of 'Transition' - to use the term that William Bridges uses. I hope we can stay in touch via this WIKI, and I know that Tony and some others raised the possibility of a 'reunion'. I would very much like that, and I hope that in time everyone is able to 'reflect' on their experience here...
